Training Scoring Details (work in progress)

Here's much of what I've managed to recreate so far in regard to how the scoring works in the training missions. This is in support of our training reset so everyone knows what to expect.

Note that this document is not complete (although what is listed here is accurate as far as I can determine) and I will be updating it as as I have time to work on it. When I have finished I will attach a Word document that will have the final details in them.

Each training section has a soldier profile "xxxTrainingLevel" value where 0 = not completed, 1 = Completed at Basic Level, 2 = Completed at Proficient Level, and 3 = Completed at Expert level. These fields are generally not visible to you but several beta captains will have access to the raw data in support of the training efforts.

Treatment Statuses
Each treatment status is tracked uniquely. The following soldier profile fields contain this information. Field values are: 1 = Passed treatment, 0 = did not pass treatment, -1 = cheated on treatment.

Cheating
Cheating will result in the score appearing to be applied but the specific treatments are disabled for the user (and using them will result in killing the patient with appropriate ROE applied in multiplayer games).

MOUT Target Scoring
MOUT Scoring is comprised of several factors as listed below:
• Number of targets missed (target hit location is not considered so a hit anywhere on a target is considered valid). Each missed target results in a 10 second penalty.
• Number of “friendly” (ROE Events) targets hit. Each friendly target hit adds a 15 second penalty.
• Number of enemy targets “confirmed”. Each target confirmed results in one second deducted from the total time.
• Incorrect smoke usage results in a 60 second time penalty
• Not destroying target adds a 60 second time penalty
• Flashbang usage does not affect the total time directly, but will stop the in-game timers and result in a lower overall time
• An invalid treatment of the SIMMAN patient results in a 60 second time penalty
• Total time through the course (as shown by the in-game timer)
At the completion of the training the penalties are added to the total time and any confirmation bonuses are subtracted to generate the final time.

AIT SDM Tier One Training

AIT SDM Tier One Target Scoring
AIT SDM Training uses a more complex scoring system than BCT targets. The location of the hit is considered when scoring the target’s value.
The following lists the possible points per target:
• Head Shots = 30
• Center of Mass Shots = 25
• Pelvic Shots = 20
• Body Shots (all other target locations) = 15
Missed shots result in zero points for the target. There should be 40 targets displayed (one phase with 20, one phase with ten pairs of targets) each worth 30 points for a maximum perfect score of 1200.
Running out of ammunition results in all remaining targets being marked as missed for whatever phase the player is on.

AIT Advanced Rifleman Tier One Target Scoring

AIT Advanced Rifleman Tier One Training uses special shape/color target scoring system that allows a hit to be counted if it’s anywhere on the correct color or shape without regard to the specific location. However, the time taken to hit the target is considered and affects scoring. Each pair of targets is set to display for seven seconds. Any target hit will result in 25 points being earned. Targets hit within Ľ of the seven second display time will result in a value of 100 bonus points being earned. Targets hit within ľ of that time will earn 50 bonus points. Targets hit outside the valid shapes will result in a 25 point penalty. There are seven pair of crouching targets, seven pair of standing targets, and seven pair of leaning targets. This will result in (with time fast target hit bonuses) of 21 pairs * 100 + (21 * 25) or 2625 total possible points.

AIT Grenadier Tier One Target Scoring
• Round 1. Each right-hand grenadier target is worth 100 points.
• Round 2. Rifle targets are 50 points per target – seven pairs of targets displayed (700 points total)
• Round 3. Each right-hand grenadier target is worth 100 points.
Total possible for all targets is 1300 points.
Success with smoke does not give or take away points (this should probably be changed).
Note that targets are listed backwards in AAR (as of 3.0.6) and this is a bug that will need to be corrected.

Army Commendation Medal

If all BCT and AIT XXXTrainingLevel fields are set to level 3 (expert) then the MA_ArmyCommendation achievement is earned (set to 1) and the MA_ArmyCommendationDate is set to the current UTC date/time. This is tested at the completion of every training mission (or training station in the case of WF).
